We spent the past couple days covering our fields with silage tarps. These gigantic tarps (40 feet by 100 feet) will help warm up the soil and prevent weeds from growing. The boys really enjoyed helping us unroll the plastic. It was tricky getting the plastic to lay down in the right way, but with the help of 300 sandbags and some old tires we finally got everything down. Our fields are now ready for planting. Hopefully it will warm up soon!

Our land is slowly becoming a farm. The biggest transformation yet has been harrowing our fields! Our empty plot now has two half acre fields churned over. Each step is taking us closer and closer to restoring this empty property to working farmland again.
